Psychological Support
The evaluation of the psychoemotional state of every patient, the detection of the difficulties as well as the skills that will contribute to the patient’s better adjustment to the circumstances of his condition and therefore, to his treatment and rehabilitation, are the first concern of the Psychological Support Department at the OLYMPION Center.
The psychologist is on continuous cooperation with the rest of the medical and paramedical staff of the Center, aiming for the patient’s and the family’s best possible support in order to adjust to the new life conditions. The Psychological Support Department also educates and supports the patient’s loved ones, in order to achieve the best possible support and participation in the patient’s treatment.
Conclusively, the Center’s Psychologist:
Is in charge of the psychological testings in regards to the personality, mental and psychological condition of the patient. The goal is to create a trusting relationship between him and the patient. He helps to motivate the patient in order to fully participate in his recovery and rehabilitation program. He also helps the patient in managing the adjustment stages, to the new reality of his condition. He offers advice for the better social and occupational reinstatement after the end of his therapy.
