The state-of-the-art OLYMPION Rehabilitation and Recovery Center of Heraklion, provides integrated healthcare services and offers In-patient as well as Out-patient treatment.
Patients are evaluated by the Physiatrist - Physician of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, who designs a personalized comprehensive rehabilitation program that may include Physiotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Psychological support, with ongoing medical care and support.
The Center provides treatment, by experienced medical and nursing staff, for orthopedic conditions in the postoperative stage, craniocerebral injuries, multiple injuries, diseases of the extrapyramidal system, myopathies - myasthenias, diseases of the peripheral cerebral palsy, cerebral palsy, sciatica adults), spinal cord injuries (paraplegia - quadriplegia), polysoneuritis (S. Guillain Barre, etc.), degenerative diseases of the CNS. (peroneal muscle atrophy etc), rheumatoid arthritis in functional phase, non-specific rheumatic diseases (s. Reiter, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis etc), algebro dystrophies (RSD, sympathetic and reflex.
In addition to inpatient care, the Rehabilitation and Recovery Center provides outpatient services at the Departments of Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Hydrotherapy (swimming pool), Speech Therapy and the Therapeutic Gym, always under medical surveillance and support in all the Center’s structures.
Patients transportation is available upon schedule, with special vehicle for the transportation of wheelchairs (mini bus) as well as fully equipped ambulance.
The Center collaborates with private insurance companies and holds contract with the National Organization for the Provision of Health Services (EOPYY), for In-patients and Out-patients. Settlement through bank accounts and credit cards is also possible.
The Admissions Office of the Heraklion Rehabilitation and Recovery Center is open every day, from 7.00 am. until 11:00 p.m. You can contact the office in person, by phone and electronically, in order to receive information about the services provided and also receive detailed information on the procedures to follow, depending on your insurance company, in order to receive approval for your rehabilitation program.
